FAIR-DI Award for Data Handling in a PhD Thesis

We are delighted to share information about the FAIR-DI Award for Excellent Data Handling in a PhD Thesis.

The association FAIR-DI e.V. was founded to foster a worldwide data infrastructure for big data from materials science, engineering, and astronomy following the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Re-purposable). 

To this aim, the FAIR-DI Award recognizes an excellent PhD thesis in the field of materials science, physics, or chemistry, which stands out by its exceptional handling of research data following the FAIR principles. 

The recipient of this award will have the opportunity to present their thesis at the FAIR-DI European Conference on Data Intelligence 2024 (Karlsruhe, Germany, 27-30 Oct 2024) and will receive a prize of €2000. 

Applications should be received by July 31 2024.
